Meet Andy & Marisa
Andy and Marisa are the warm and friendly couple behind Cafe Retro, having taken the helm in January 2024. With a passion for hospitality, they have brought a lovely family vibe to the café. Marisa, an avid baker, loves creating delicious cakes and sweet treats that have quickly become local favorites.
Their extensive experience in the hospitality industry shines through in every detail. Andy’s joy comes from welcoming new faces and ensuring everyone feels at home, while Marisa is in her element when the music is playing and the café is buzzing with happy customers.
Both locals to Long Sutton, Andy and Marisa are deeply rooted in the community. They cherish the town’s rich history and the charm of its picturesque Georgian houses. When they’re not at the café, they enjoy taking their dog for walks in the beautiful surrounding area, soaking in the fresh air and picturesque views that Long Sutton offers. Andy also has a soft spot for nostalgia, particularly old school scooters, which adds a touch of retro charm to their lives.
Long Sutton itself is a vibrant market town with a history dating back to the Norman era. Known for its bustling Friday market, the town offers a variety of goods from fresh produce to artisanal crafts, reflecting the community’s spirit. The market, along with landmarks like St. Mary’s Church and Cross Keys Bridge, make Long Sutton a delightful place to explore and enjoy.
